he community is invited to attend the Thurston County Chamber's 118th Annual Meeting on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at 11:30 am at the Olympia Hotel at Capitol Lake.

The program will include a report out and a glimpse at an exciting work program for the new fiscal year ahead. It will also include a passing of the gavel from the outgoing board chair, Michelle Wickett to incoming board chair, Trenton Fluetsch.

Ginny Burton, a former drug addict and renowned advocate for using incarceration as a tool for success, will be the keynote speaker.

Burton's inspiring story of overcoming addiction, homelessness, and incarceration to achieve academic success has made her a sought-after speaker. She will share her personal journey and her vision for a new approach to addressing addiction, crime, and homelessness, which she believes are intertwined issues that require a comprehensive solution.
