Making the Digital World More Accessible, Session 1: Document Accessibility: What is it and why does it matter?

Tuesday, January 28, 2025 (3:00 PM - 4:30 PM) (PST)

Description

Document accessibility is making documents such as Word documents or PDF's easier for people who use assistive technologies to navigate. As we continue into a more digital world, we have easy tools, available for free, that can allow us to create documents that are more easily accessible for the viewer. This session will provide a live demonstration of how to find and use these assistive technology tools to increase accessibility in documents you create.

This is the first session of a two-part series, brought to you by the Thurston County Chamber of Commerce: Digital Literacy Program. This complimentary informational session is brought to our community to share knowledge to create documents that are more accessible for your customer base and audience.  Snacks and refreshments will be provided for in person guests. Please register as seating is limited.

There is also a hybrid option: Making the Digital World More Accessible, Session 1. Document Accessibility: What is it and why does it matter?
