Join New Horizon Communities and other community members to celebrate E’s efforts to spread the power of love.

What: Celebrating “E”’s T-shirt Design and Fundraiser 

In late January, New Horizon Communities received a pleasant surprise. They were notified someone had started a T-shirt fundraiser for their nonprofit. That someone turned out to be a 5-year-old named “E”. E’s idea for the T-shirt design came from when he and his mom bought groceries for an unhoused community member in Olympia. They learned the person had recently been mugged and badly injured. E was very sad about this and said he wished that the people with big fists who hurt our community members had shown love instead of violence. He created a sign (the image on the shirt) and hopes it will help others.

Needless to say, New Horizon Communities is extremely touched by this gesture of compassion. The world can often be an overwhelming place, and E reminds us of all the good there is too. E has already sold 50 T-shirts and has gathered over $1,900 in separate donations to New Horizon Communities.
