Session will answer the question: Why do you want to create an internship and how do you connect with education? Jacquelin Earley, Human Resources Coordinator, Sierra Pacific Industries. Jacquelin is the Human Resources Coordinator for Sierra Pacific Industries Shelton and a member of multiple community organizations including the South Sound Council, PacMtn Workforce Development Council Board of Directors, Community Partner Education Grant Committee, and most recently Capital STEM Alliance. Jacquelin is a graduate of Washington State University’s School of Business emphasizing in Management, Marketing, and Human Resources. Her industry backgrounds include advanced manufacturing and healthcare. She currently recruits, hires, onboards, and supports employees for the SPI Shelton Sawmill, Fabrication Shop, Warehouse, and Trucking divisions. She dedicates her time in and out of the office to support job seekers, directing them to the career opportunities within our local communities

Summary
Christina Riley, Christina Riley Consulting. Christina is a labor and tribal liaison, a training and apprenticeship specialist, as well as a Laborer. She is a Tlingit & Haida enrolled Tribal Member, born in Juneau Alaska. In the early 2000’s she joined the Northwest Laborers Apprenticeship program and became a journeyman Laborer. She spent several years as a Laborer and as their Training and Apprenticeship leader. She has also supported as a Tribal Liaison. In late 2021 Christina set her sights on new aspirations, and started to develop her own company, Christina Riley Consulting, LLC. Since launching the Company January 1st, 20222 she has assisted her clients in building out new training programs and continued in relationship building efforts. Christina’s motto throughout her career has always been, show up every day, work hard, have a good attitude, and no one can argue that you haven’t done your best

Christina Chesnut is a Program Manager for Workforce Development at the Thurston County Chamber of Commerce. She works closely with WorkSource and the Pacififc Mountain Workforce Development Council. With 9 years of experience in workforce development, Christina advocates for a workforce that benefits businesses and job seekers across the Pacific Mountain region of Thurston, Lewis, Mason, Grays Harbor, and Pacific Counties.

Teri Pablo has been in the Career and Technical Education field for over 25 years and currently serves as the Yelm Community School CTE/Communications Director at Yelm Community Schools. As a former Human Resource Manager in retail, she understands the importance of building a talent pipeline. Teri believes in developing relationships between business, industry and education to ensure high quality CTE programs are offered that prepare students for continuing education and work.
