South Sound Climate Action Convention - Taking Action Together

Organizations, businesses, and individuals will gather to hear speakers and discuss ways to move Thurston County forward in its efforts to meet the goals set forth in the Thurston Climate Mitigation Plan signed by Thurston County and the cities of Olympia, Tumwater and Lacey. The Plan has set a goal to reach a 45% reduction in CO2 emissions by 2030. Topics include: transportation and building issues, climate resilience and extreme heat events, green jobs, climate justice, sequestration, electrification, strategies for moving forward, and much more. Keynotes include: KC Golden - national leader in the climate movement, and Denny Heck - Washington's Lieutenant Governor.
