Deanna East is the Executive Director of the North Thurston Education Foundation (NTEF), an independent, community-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Lacey, Washington. The foundation’s mission is to mobilize resources to enrich programs, provide basic needs, and enhance educational opportunities for the students and staff of North Thurston Public Schools.

With 20 years of experience in public education, Deanna is dedicated to improving educational outcomes for all students. She has two sons who graduated from Timberline High School and is deeply committed to supporting the community, especially young people in need.

In addition to her role at NTEF, Deanna serves as the Scholarship Chair on the All Kids Win board, is an active Lacey Rotary member, mentor’s students through the North Thurston High School Interact Club, and is an Ambassador for the Lacey South Sound and Thurston County Chambers.
