I became a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant in 1993 while working at the Lacey Police Department. I thought I was joining because I wanted to get out of a stressful work environment; what I found was I really needed some quality girl friend time, as well as, a more positive atmosphere.
My prior work history included the US Army for six years as a UH1H helicopter repairer. I left the service as a Sergeant leading a team of five to six men. Rarely were there women in my field. As women became a part of the US Army in 1978, it was an uphill battle to build respect. However, the many things I learned while growing up in that environment have been priceless.
My business has taught me how to be more caring towards others, walking along side of women I may never had met if it wasn't for my business. The personal growth has created a more down-to-earth woman. I am able to help women with more than just getting them the right lip color. I have done my business while married with two young girls (they are now in their 40's), caring for my husband during many physical issues until his death in 2009. Now as a widow, I bring even more compassion to those I service. I look forward to being an asset to those who take the time to find out what I know.
I help people with how they care for their skin. Whether it is just the basics or a full color look - I can help.
